The class will be divided into groups of two students;
Each group will choose an image from those proposed below; the link to the page of the Catalogue of Political and Personal Satires in the Department of Prints and Drawings in the British Museum dedicated to each image is provided as first information;
Each group will have to prepare an oral presentation (possibly supported by images) to describe, explain and contextualize the chosen image; the presentation must consist of the following parts:
- Brief notes on the author of the satirical image;
- Detailed description of the image (characters, clothes, objects, background, words, attitudes, etc.);
- Explanation of the meaning of the notable elements that appear in the image;
- Connection with the historical, political and social context to which the image refers and in which it was created.
- Precise bibliography and sitography with indication of the links to the pages used for the presentation.

N.B.:

The oral presentation should last approximately 10 minutes;
The oral presentation will be divided equally between the two students of the group;
The work will be presented in English.
